Day 3 Calgary.. With Deano… Stampeding it!!
Here, my boy, Deano, okay my nefew, was pretty effin happy, that, in Calgary we hit our highest jackpot of fundraising in the shortest time…Proud boy!!! He has so many friends it is uncanny, we opened up the separate part of the bar, just so we could count the loot. Our goal was $500 bucks…I’m like…Deano…we way beat our goal, he says…Auntie….We destroyed our goal, we doubled it Aunt Flo, we are over Flo’d. Deano will ride with us out of town tomorrow for an hour or two. He also said, if you come back next year, I will bet we can raise $10.000.00 or more in one day.
Okay… you all got to know how much Deano means to me…He is my nefew.. he rocks, he rolls, his goal in life is to make people laugh.. to make a difference… and he does.. His mother was my sister, she passed away of cancer, almost 15 years ago this August. She was my best friend, she was all my siblings best friend…and we are riding for her. We are riding for many, but especially for her. it doesn’t matter that it was a different kind of cancer, we are riding for anyone that has ever been affected by Cancer of any type. He knows that!! She would know that!!! you see how proud he is, and so he should be.. so we should, we all should be… Cancer is cancer and we plan to kick it to the curb. Deano was there, waiting on the side of the road for his Auntie Flo, Uncle Wilb, and Fancy. Had a little pink on him while he was sitting by the side of the road, waiting for us. It didn’t take long, he had us all in stitches in seconds getting all Congafied, to help us KICK IT TO THE CURB, in name of his momma. Laugh so much in such a short time…This boy/man was on a mission!! Kept saying , I am going with the Flo, we are going to Kick it to the curb! he came up with the funniest lines standing on the street talking to the passer byers, asking for money… Here’s one…Do you like Cancer… nope!! Neither do we, can you give us a buck to help kick it to the curb?
It was a long glorious day, putting smiles on peoples faces, making a difference!! I am so thankful my man, painted my bike pink for me, because it was HAWT… People know the pink Harley and what it stands for. Thanks to JB Custom Colors, for painting it for me for the special deal, for the cause and also Josh at Truekustom colors the bike is famous for sure after the Calgary Stampede…. Thanks thanks…
okay so we raise over $1,000.00 for an amazing cause, amazing people have helped out, it is crazy, and it just inspires me, to fight harder and although we have along way to go to meet our goal, I think we can do it.. Only $20,000 more to raise, and about 25 days… yike, I shouldn’t say it outloud, it sounds impossible!
Thanks so much Deano, love you so much, your momma would be so proud of you.
Okay on that note, I/we HATED THE RIDE HOME, but you made it all worth it.
